From their early days as a progressive group to their high-flying power-ballad days of the 80's, Journey remains one of the most popular bands from the AOR period. Their balanced attack of Steve Perry's dynamic vocals, Neal Schon's guitar work, and Jonathan Cain's keyboarding consistently proved successful, especially on such hits as "Don't Stop Believin'," "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," and "Be Good To Yourself." Their core lineup of Schon, Cain, and Perry are rounded out by bassist Ross Valory, and famed fusion drummer Steve Smith. In recent years, the band has dealt with some lineup changes. Steve Perry left the band in 1998. Steve Smith left afterwards to continue his jazz career.

Little Girl Lyrics

Journey

It was just the month of may,
Words got in my way, girl Im so sorry
So Im reaching out to you,
With the hope to see you through
Just another day
Do you see
The words Im trying to say,
But words get in my way, girl I really mean it,
Yes I warned you from the start
That I could break your heart
So girl dont stay
Ooh, ooh little girl
Ooh, ooh little girl
Ooh, ooh little girl
Im the fool that plays the part, the one
That broke your heart,
Girl Im so sorry, so what more can a poor boy do,
Im reaching out to you,
So now dont you stay
(chorus)
Shades turn red from green to blue,
What more can I do, I told you this before,
So please walk out hat door
I told you from the start
That love could break your heart,
Girl Im so sorry, ooh ooh little girl
(chorus)
