From their early days as a progressive group to their high-flying power-ballad days of the 80's, Journey remains one of the most popular bands from the AOR period. Their balanced attack of Steve Perry's dynamic vocals, Neal Schon's guitar work, and Jonathan Cain's keyboarding consistently proved successful, especially on such hits as "Don't Stop Believin'," "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," and "Be Good To Yourself." Their core lineup of Schon, Cain, and Perry are rounded out by bassist Ross Valory, and famed fusion drummer Steve Smith. In recent years, the band has dealt with some lineup changes. Steve Perry left the band in 1998. Steve Smith left afterwards to continue his jazz career.

This towns got no pity
Bossman owns a heart of stone
Im on the line, its overtime
Ill tell you its a crime
They get me by the hour
By my blue collar
Youre squeezin me too tight
Its friday night
Lets run tonight
Till the morning light.
Keep on runnin, keep on hidin
Keep on runnin away
Its okay, its alright
Its okay, its alright
And if it makes you want to jump and shout, go ahead!
Keep on runnin keep on hidin
Keep on runnin away, its okay.
Crusin with my baby
Think we just might maybe
Find some back seat rhythm and blues
Radio, down we go, down we go.
