From their early days as a progressive group to their high-flying power-ballad days of the 80's, Journey remains one of the most popular bands from the AOR period. Their balanced attack of Steve Perry's dynamic vocals, Neal Schon's guitar work, and Jonathan Cain's keyboarding consistently proved successful, especially on such hits as "Don't Stop Believin'," "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," and "Be Good To Yourself." Their core lineup of Schon, Cain, and Perry are rounded out by bassist Ross Valory, and famed fusion drummer Steve Smith. In recent years, the band has dealt with some lineup changes. Steve Perry left the band in 1998. Steve Smith left afterwards to continue his jazz career.

Youve been tryin, very heard
Now this time youve gone too far
Your performance perfect
In every way--perfect!
I hear rumors all around
Contracts and lawyers
And champagne downtown
Tell me what you think
You want me to do
Ive been always fair with you
Turning on me
After all weve been through
You want trouble then thats just
The way it will be
Youre caught up in the power
A blue magical maze
Now the circle is broken
In a spellbinding rage
Better see if youre holdin
The wrong edge of the blade
If its sharp, if it cuts
Enjoy yourself
